PARK-WIDE YARD SALE RESULTS
Reports of a wide-spread killing in the yard sale market seem to be a bit premature...
Reports from the 15 or so households who held yard sales over this past weekend were mixed, but most felt that it went well enough to consider making it an annual event...
"I can't believe it," said Geoff Mirantz, "there's actually room in my garage for a car!"
Stated Joyce Fuller, "This is great, Now I've got more than enough room to pack stuff in for next year"! (She really didn't say that, but this reporter thought it sounded awfully good!)
Others were even more exuberant; "My daughter's lemonade stand made more money than I did"... "I sold one thing for my friend and she made even more money than I did all weekend!"... "Wow! This is great and I don't even have to pay a commission!"
All in all it would appear that the weekend was a marvelous success and everyone this reporter spoke with was most positive. Maybe this will lead to an even bigger participation next year.
Not only was this a lot of fun and somewhat profitible, we got to meet a bunch of our neighbors in and out of the park!
